Then, if you liked the gameplay, I would consider purchasing DLCs.
I specifically asked, because the Court DLC in DD1 was hardly beginner-friendly, and back then I was strongly incentiviced to have my first game without it.
I agree and totally understand the CC DLC from DD1 reference. The DLC for DD2 isn't on the same scale. The DD2 DLC can add a extra bit of spice however the spice offered isn't on top of an existing layer.
If you have/get the The Binding Blade DLC the combatants in a standard road fight could be replaced with different enemies that's related to that particular DLC. These fights can happen and ramp up depending on the player completing a certain criteria.
If you have/get Inhuman Bondage there is an optional area called the Catacombs which is the hardest area to travel however as I typed, it's optional. Even if you decide to play Kingdoms mode the Catacombs is completely avoidable if you choose.
The DLC in DD2 is more catered to the player choosing to interact with the content.
i played a lot more the game when early access on Epic store, i should be around 400 hours by now, then bought it here again, because i want to support these devs
and i have no DLC yet , the base game have enough things to do before you expand into the 2 DLC to be honest ....
and the new Kingdoms free expansion is just amazing good if you like strategic+tactical gameplay ...
you can actually avoid to grind the confession roguelite mode if you want to learn the fighters ....
