It's a shame how much stuttering there is in this game, and the lack of graphics options
Game stutters really badly often during the stagecoach sections. Doesn't matter the combination of settings. Camera zooms in on POIs and it hitches... just travelling through the area often has stutter and bad framepacing. When you open the inventory while on the stagecoach again it stutters.

Very unfortunate. My PC ain't the problem either, trust me it's plenty powerful for this. I've tried all combinations of fps caps/limits and vsync on off, fast sync and so on. No overlays active outside of Steam's, and even turning that off doesn't do anything to help.

The other issue is the lack of resolution options and ultrawide support. I get that there's nothing for visual settings outside of low/med/high, but the game doesn't support ultrawide, and if you use Exclusive fullscreen it just stretches the image across the screen and you can't even select the proper ultrawide resolution for it to display in 16:9.

I really hope the team can improve this stuff, it's a blight on an otherwise fantastic game.

Redhook doesn't own an ultrawide monitor. That's my only guess as to why they won't implement it.

-Get p1xel8ted DD2 ultrawide fix on github. Press F1 ingame and set exclusive fullscreen. No more stuttering (worked for me at 3440x1440)
-Join WSGF discord channel to see more ultrawide fixes from the community.
-Avoid trying to discuss these matters on the Steam forums. Developers will never read you and only no-life babbling buffoons will just try to troll you with usseles replies.

It could be a configuration issue on your end as well, since I was playing the game issue-free with an ancient video card and half the ram you're using (geforce gtx 960).

Have you tried adjusting any settings for your card specifically? Like forcing v-sync, etc.? Also have you checked your pc's power settings so it isn't set to powersaving (rather than performance mode)?

I've tried every combination of refresh-rates and vsync/gsync/fast sync and so on.. as well as frame limiters (Nvidia control panel, RTSS) and nothing works. And I also had the thought that the power settings could have been an issue in that the game simply isn't taxing my GPU enough to actually make it change power states.. so I set it to 'prefer max performance" in the GPU control panel, and still didn't help.

I think it's simply an issue with how the game is coded in Unity. You guys may not notice it, or be bothered by it, but to people who have a real eye for this stuff, it's very apparent.

Thanks for the suggestions though!

Note stuttering can be caused by a variety of factors. Most notably being CPU starved, or disk IO starved can cause this problem. You should look at your performance monitor to see if

I'd also sayu that with teh current issues around certain new Intel CPUs, as well as overall problems previously with their e-cores causing many different games to cause issues as a possiblity.
