Eyes boss
Does this boss needs some sort of nerf? Why is it made like that, whats the point to get hit 3 times for deaths door damage? All my heroes had positive relationship yet they all died like flies and I also brought a vestal with me with upgraded skills. Hero rooster was: vestal, jester, highway man and hellion.

Focused Fault already received several crippling nerfs, release version used to debuff your healing with limerence, overall hit harder and ignore your taunt tokens. With the current version all you need to have is a character that can tank and apply taunt to themselves like Man at arms, flaggelant and leper. Current verison of FF is a shadow of its former self, I don't think it needs any more nerfs.

Why would they nerf him by making it ignore taunt and reduce healing? Thats fine with me, my only concern was that he is hitting 2 or 3 times in a row with enormous damage and not just one but 2 other heroes. As soon as he hit me like that, I knew that I'm going to get wiped. The damage is just terrible, even 2 vestals won't do the job. I congratulate those players who killed it with a stygian flame.

Three key points for this fight:

* You need to concentrate any Seen tokens received in the first phase on as few heroes as possible. Guard/taunt are good for this. Knocking the first phase enemies down with DOT is also useful because it makes them miss their turn.
* You need to apply stealth or make him miss, both of which will make Seen tokens go away. Blind/dodge are good for this. The smoke bomb and shimmering powder combat items too.
* He gets three turns per round so DOT will melt him quickly. Plague Doctor and Runaway are good for applying large amounts of DOT. Upgraded Firefly + rank 4 Orphan = 7 burn = 21 damage per round (more if you have trinkets or a memory that increases burn dealt). Upgraded Noxious Blast = 6 blight = 18 damage per round.

You can't out-heal the damage dealt by Limerence so don't even try. You need to kill him before he kills you. If he's using Limerence to hit multiple heroes multiple turns in a row then your approach probably isn't viable. If only one of your heroes has a Seen token then you can mitigate with Block, but you really do need to get rid of that Seen token otherwise your hero is going to die.

You don't need to worry about being shuffled in this fight and you don't need to worry about getting hit with DOT. Don't waste move or item slots preparing for those things.

That boss is a little bit of a sucker punch, imo. The eyestalk fight is easy - it's only a preamble so that your party can be littered with dangerous Seen tokens, which do not have any effect on the match until its usually too late.

Once you realize the fight is about managing Seen tokens, you can come up with a strategy and it becomes plausible. I'd give you more advice, but the owl did a pretty good job.

Thanks for the help.

Blind and Dodge are very good, removing a seen token on success. Stealth is king. It removes all the hero's seen tokens. Buy any shimmering powder you see, and get the Bottle Case stagecoach item increasing powder stacking, which works on laudanums too, which is good for this fight. Save it for the end of phase 1 or onward.

Smelling salts (Dodge) and smoke grenades are the next best thing, outside of direct heals.

If you're looking for a specific build then I suggest The Unusual Suspects, which I used for my Grand Slam run. It's a fairly strong team in general, it's relatively straightforward to use, and you don't have to spend time unlocking its classes. I'd focus on unlocking all of their moves and upgrades if you haven't already. The configuration for Act 3 was Alchemist PD-Deadeye GR-Sharpshot HWM-Bulwark MaA. That team also performed well against the Leviathan and the Librarian for me. The basic strategy was for the Man at Arms to spam Taunt on himself and get all the Seen tokens, then mitigate Limerence with Block+ as much as possible.

Caveat: that was before the most recent path rework for the Highwayman.
