I disagree about learning. I use wiki less in DD2. But I wouldn't make a big argument over it. I will say, the mechanics are different and I'm not familiar with a similar token system in other games. So I wouldn't fit it in a "just like other games I play" category.
The carriage scenes in the valley can get annoying if you're losing and restarting a lot.
- you will have to deal with bad UI
- inconsistent or buggy mechanics
- a loooot of hidden information not even people know who have been playing this game since early access
but at least sometimes you can ponder whether a certain interaction is intended or still an unfixed issue
We've got gurus in these here forums and are here to help with information. Start with questions.
UI and hidden information
- Why is there the same unreadable new path system UI we have for almost a year?
- Why is there no skip button on the region preview screen and we therefore must click through up to 6 relationships?
- Why is the hp summary wrong or displayed wrong?
- Why is the token glossary incomplete?
- Why do you have to consult a webpage to see the different Duelist riposte effects?
- Why is there no cd information on enemy moves? Who is going to memorize them all?
- Why can't you see your teammates cds when it's not their turn (through character sheet for example)?
- Why is the duration for rank specific tokens not displayed (controlled Burn and Vestal buffs)?
- Why does the game not display current relationships when hovering with inn items over them? It makes you go back and forth between multiple screens. Same with nodes.
Inconsistent behavior or bugs

Path bonuses from GR are calculated differently from everyone else's path bonus
Why does every major patch have a potential risk of completely wiping ALL of your savefiles? This issue is known for over a year by now and you still have to keep manual back-ups of your savefiles for a modern game.
The game has many more of these kind of issues. Even if some of them appear minor, overall it just displays a lack of polishing and it's not speaking well for a released game.
I get the impression that there is no unanimity there in RH. The DD2 project is such a mess...for two years.
It's just a fraction of what has been posted in the feedback section on Discord and here on Steam - multiple times over and over and some of the problems older than a year by now. I honestly can't believe that most of these issues are even that hard to fix. If it's truly a resource issue than fixing the base game should be Nr.1 priority over any DLC.
I also think the OP knows little to nothing about what you're talking about, because they are just barely learning the game early on. Not to minimize their feelings on the game, but Zeeky is a DD2 fan who spent time learning things and is upset about Devs not addressing things he/she experienced through so much time. The OP is quickly pointing out their undesired experience after a small amount of time of play, it would seem. Both sides should be useful to the developers, but Zeeky's latest post is an example of what they would likely be willing to review. More of that please, less "they don't know what they're doing because I'm struggling" stuff that sounds like trolling.
I definitely agree about the Duelist stances, if I could pick one thing from that list for them to change tomorrow.
i've been at the inn multiple times with free slots in the stagecoach and still can't equip items sometimes.
Red Hook focus on irrelevant stuff for three possible reasons:
1. they only listen to the chosen group of yt streamers or testers
2. they treat any dissatisfied player submissions lightly
3. sb or sth is still preventing these changes from being made
