Crusader + Plague Doctor is an insane backline (Easy Grand Slam)
I just grand slammed with Crusader, Plague Doctor, Duelist, Highwayman killing every lair boss in every act. The backline spams grenade + accusation/holy lance while the frontline pulls some point blank/disengage or fleche/duelists shenanigans based on whichever front liner I have going first. I use bannerete, alchemist, rogue, Intrepide but The duelist path can be changed for sure I just don't use the riposte part of the character. The dance between he and Dismas ends most fights in two rounds entirely. Both backliners have really strong heals so either one can easily give up their turn to sustain while the other keeps pumping damage. Had a total of one death door check on a Collector fight in act 5 for DIsmas. I highly recommend trying it for the five memory achievement for the new chars.

Sounds like a fun team composition. I'm running a similar one at the moment, Crusader-Highwayman-Duelist-Vestal. (Basically Vestal instead of Plague Doctor, though she's in rank 1) Crusader is a surprisingly strong backliner - heal, stress-heal and good dmg.

However, it looks like your front-line is even more fun, I imagine duelist and highwayman were having the time of their life. :)

How did you engage Seething Sigh in Act 2? Did you switch HWM to Sharpshot, or keep him as Rogue?

I had a lot of crit generation from trinkets (Dismas Rat skull and candle trinket). I put coup de grace on duelist as an emergency back lung killer but was able to basically just rush it down. I suspect you can actually kill the front lung as a strategy since you are defo not losing a battle of attrition. The whole comp has ways of hitting rank 1 and 4 which is really nice.
P.S. the dreaming general trophy that locks you comp in place allows you to use fleche and point blank shot every turn. It's a nice strategy for Act 3 dps race. Stack otherworldy fragments or other trap items to nuke the big ole eye.

Pretty standard fare overall. Stacking Alchemist PD onto any form of back-rank backup (eg. Abyssal Artillery or Banneret Accusations = Auto-Pilot), with projection being useful against every single Lair boss, so every good team should have some. Speaking of which, just like DD1, CRU is an entire team rolled into a single slot - and as Banneret, he essentially plays like a pseudo-Alchemist with soothe, support, and mobility. A solid choice.

Alchemist PD can hit for around 4+ damage with Plague Grenade by herself (up to 9+ crits), while applying DoTs to the bulk. Back it up with a CRU Lance or even a non-specialized Pistol Shot and you will easily pop the 9HP threshold on back lungs.

Seething Sigh isn't all that difficult, provided you have more than a few options (in the event of debuffs or wanting to use turns for something else).

Here's a non-challenge run from this morning with 3/4 heroes you've mentioned present.

Lance, Acid Rain (instead of Plague Grenade), Judgement, etc, are quite sufficient - being challenged only by Blind+Weak tokens, which you can counter with items and/or acquire debuff resistances for.

I'm running a similar comp
Vestal - PD - crusader - HWM
Confessor - Surgeon - wanderer - Rogue

vestal/PD/Crusader all have heals
PD uses mostly incision
HWM stars with point blank shot
Crusader either smacks with smite or heals stress
Vestal removes buffs from enemies with illumination

I am not the best at this game, but I must say I tried out this team and was impressed at its ability to just DEMOLISH Leviathan.

I just got Grand slam myself with a similar team. Crusader 4th spot, Plague Doctor 3rd, Hellion 2nd, Jester 1st.

Jester turn one due to speed uses fade to black to grant blind tokens, pushing hellion into spot one for howling end or something else. Crusader obviously uses Holy lance to push into 3rd while PD grenades the back line. Jester can keep pushing crusader back into 3rd rank while granting combo tokens. Crusader goes into rank 1-2 when needed, using smite, heal and tenacity for defence tokens. This allows Jester while in rank 3 to stress heal/encore. Hell he can still use fade to black and push himself into 4th and grant more blind tokens. Hellion of course stays in the front setting up for howling end and iron swan for back line snipes.

I beat every lair boss, some even on the first area, I had never beaten acts 3-4-5 before and beat each one first time with this crew. They truly feel unbeatable, you have healing, defence, taunt, damage and can dance around so being shuffled isn't a big deal. Actually amazing definitely recommend.

Which skills exactly did you use for this comp? I don't have Hellion at the moment
