I got 30 hours and about 2k done, so at this rate, 300 hours would be very accurate. Though I expect I'll be spending less time in menus and such and more time on the road as I become more familiar with the game, so it may end up being lower.
And for some people, 100 hours in a game is unthinkable, but for others, they can't get enough. I got 450 hours in Nuclear Throne and 1,000 hours in Terraria.
Last time someone asked that, no one knew of any way.
The achievements for this game do not display progress, so you have to guess, or take very careful notes of the leagues displayed when riding the stagecoach.
Someone on my friends list got this achievement at the 156 hours mark and I go it at 225 hours.
Yeah, I predicted there would be quite a lot of variation in how long it would take. Someone taking a lot of time at inns and in menus and taking every fight, for example, could take 500 hours to do it, while someone who plays quickly and avoids fights could do it in less than 100.
Yeah of course, that's a given. I myself have left this game on idle for a long duration multiple times.
There are some screenshots here, but the guide is in Russian (But I think you will figure it out.):

I'm at 8,233 leagues only... given that I've been on 33 runs, 28 of which were successful, I feel like 20,000 is unreasonably high. Not that any amount is reasonable given that this isn't an achievement, anyone can get it (even if they die in the Valley every single run) if they just play enough.
It seems they moved it to the "profile_<number>.json" file.
Can be found by this path - C:\Users\%username%\AppData\LocalLow\RedHook\Darkest Dungeon II\SaveFiles\%steam_id%\profiles\profile_1.json.
Value is called "m_TotalDistanceDriven".
