Trophies are required to enter the Mountain ... are they?

I entered the Mountain (Denial) despite a tooltip saying 'Trophies are required to enter the Mountain' - is the tooltip wrong?

"On the Denial Confession you do not require a trophy to enter the Mountain. But for all other Confessions, you must collect at least one trophy by defeating a region boss." - taken directly from the game.

Reading comprehension seems to be at an all time low, or this tooltip in particular needs further simplifying - kinda amazed that this keeps popping up lol.

I think this is mostly red hooks problem for putting too many words in the tooltip, maybe they can fix it in a patch down the line

Unless I'm just totally misremembering, there are several places where they say "A trophy is required for the mountain" and only a couple where they add "except for act 1". This isn't an unreasonable point of confusion when the game sends mixed messages.

I've never seen them saying you don't need one for Act 1. In fact, if you mouse over the trophy case on the coach it literally says, in Act 1, you need a trophy to enter the Mountain.

I'll open up the game later and poke around, I'm almost certain there's a few places where it doesn't say anything about act 1. But I can't remember exactly where those places are at the moment, and I could be totally wrong.

I got this help article in the game yes - it unlocked AFTERI beat Denial!

Prior to that, in Denial, the tooltip was wrong. That's why people keep asking about it :)
