What's the use of that skill?
Why would I want to enflame own people?

Firestarter does not apply burn to the hero it's used on, it makes them apply burn with their attacks.

it gives your ally 'apply on hit' burn.
it also work with riposte.

Because it allows MAA's bellow to light people on fire.
