There are a couple cultist trinkets that I consider to be some of the best in the game, and they're available from the start. Now that I've unlocked all of the trinkets, I basically never see them anymore.
It's one of those things that Red Hook enjoys to fk around with the playerbase. No reason but to kick you when you're done. This game has plenty of those.
Unlike the trinkets the pets are all useful in their own way
"The pet I wanted" this game is less like "I know what I'll do going in and do it" and more "I've a broad idea and we'll see how it goes".
That said, I'd love if we could get a sandbox mode as some unlock where we could just mess around, selecting anything and everything we get.
Gonna try out dog then
It's more fun to adapt to what the game throws at you. If the you could do the same thing every time and have it be successful that would get bored quickly, IMO.
This. For me the fun and challenge is adapting to items, situations, and yes, even heroes if the typical and/or easy heroes have bad traits. This is kind of "roll with it" the game :P
