Flagellant Self-Damage Final Blow Question

Never been in this situation myself, but I was curious to know what happens if you're down to just a Flagellant against a Confession Boss, you're both on Death's Door, and you use Punish (for example), and you manage to Death Blow the Boss, but the self-damage you take also Death Blows the Flagellant. Does the game count this as a victory since you technically defeated the Confession Boss?

Huh that is a good question since I know that his damage is an IMMEDIATE death door check when I was using him early too . . . earnestly. Would have to try it if it happens lol

It'd be a real deeck move if the game gave you a loss.

But then again it's DD so... yeah. (Yes, I don't know.)

Had this exact scenario happen to me, both on DD only Flag left, I killed it then killed myself, it counted as a defeat.

Yeah, can confirm. I've also had this happen.

Thanks for the confirmation. I feel like it should count as a victory - the goal is to 'face your failure' aka defeat the Confession Boss, not keep your Heroes alive.
