Because everyone no longer miss attack randomly.
Harder in term of enemy squad tactic and special ability.
DD2? good luck lmao grind one billion candles first
Key things I found:
- Don't try to evade resistance encounters at all cost. Fighting those is where you get a lot of Mastery points from, and having most of your important skills upgraded makes a huge difference in later fights. Also keeps Loathing minimised.
- Buying food for everyone at every Inn is mandatory.
- Invest into relationship items. Positive relationships are hugely important. Only buy trinkets if you're swimming in money or find something extremely good.
Also the act boss almost wrecked my face because I didn't fully cotton onto the implications of its gimmick quick enough.
I suspect it will be easier when you have most/all upgrades unlocked but until then have fun grinding and losing runs to stupid amounts of rng
first act is honestly just a tutorial, the rest of the runs are significantly longer and harder
Oh god I'm `12 hours into act 1 and I'm still getting reamed with the usual guys >_> those padlocks are gg no re
Maybe I should unlock some hero paths instead of doing all the general upgrades >_>
Kind of expected that, point is, the RNG was on my side haha. Which is pretty rare for games like this (And me.) Iratus for instance RNG was NEVER on my side.
When I use the characters that are actually good, runs have a far higher chance of success.
took me a while to beat act 1 as well
The best thing to focus on is unlocking hero skills and creating a good synergy between characters tbh.
On top of this, just find ways to manage your stress levels. Thats all you need to beat act 1.
