I got to the 2nd confession boss the first time when my Plague Doctor got Breacher. And Plague Doctor is obviously a terrible fellow to get Breacher, especially when I had Highwayman (Rogue) and Hellion (bleed path) who needed the front rows.
Related question: Is there a way to get rid of "positive" quirks like that? I thought I might be able to re-roll it at the Field Hospital because of the Quirk Icon with the rotating arrows, but ended up locking it.
Afaik the only way to remove a positive quirk is by overwriting it, so... you can gamble at academic's studies.
Aspirant occultist is pretty fine in the front tho.
Is kinda the fun of the game you know? At least for me, It forces you to find the best out of the worst. Without it i guess I wouldn't be able to pass certain bosses ( I did the shambler too in this run just because i forced the previous build, spamming Point and Orphan Runaway 7 fire dot :') )
There are plenty of perks that are useless on certain characters.
