Maybe that's just me though.
Definitely not just you. Give it a week or so and this game will get review bombed after all the fanbois are done.
Funny. I found it intuitive and easy to use. No more having to scroll over the buff/debuff icon to read exactly what's in play, just memorising a couple easily understood symbols that tell you all the relevant information at a glance.
Conviction tokens can only be used/put on the Vestal herself, and it's her having them that supercharges some of her moves. Building up Conviction and timing your moves accordingly is kinda central to how she plays, and the big difference between her paths is how they change that up.
Yeah, I found that out in a bit after casting a spell, she just wasn't providing any conviction, then finally she did and then I guess consumed it in the next turn or something, so I couldn't really get 2-3 convictions going.
It's ok though, I just ended up uninstalling the game. I really wish I knew that they were pulling out all the core RPG mechanics of the game, the things that made DD1 so unforgiving and awesome in my opinion. Now it's just... another rogue like I guess. Disappointing.
So you misunderstood how an advanced character works, did barely a single run, decided there's no "rpg mechanics" in the game before even getting into most of its systems and then just uninstalled the game and went here to start complaining about it.
Wow, I guess congrats on being another poster boy for why devs should never listen to their "community".
Was gonna suggest you buy the Last Spell with the refunded money but i see you have 250 hours with it. lol
Good taste sir!
How did I misunderstand how an "advanced character works" when no one on this thread so far could actually tell me what the "Base" was? Far as i know I am right on what the "base" is. So.... I think maybe you misunderstood how to read? I don't know. I also don't know where you got "barely a single run" haha, Jesus dude, before trying to insult someone, get the freaking facts instead of cherry picking your happy little words and making a sentence. :P
I mean, maybe the third installation of the game will be an FPS to keep it "Fresh and new"
