Well, you can hardly destroy his argument completely, given how normal it has become that games are sometimes even a decade in EA, and it's completely normal for most games to get released as EA, as well as there are many games who get even abandoned before getting out of it.

So, you are not completely wrong, but I doubt that this will hit properly, especially since we did not even get a chance to participiate in that EA state, where we would have gotten the game for almost half it's current price.
I did not even know, that DD2 is almost ready to get released, until I saw it in the "upcoming popular games" tab, some days ago...

Trying to cater to gamers that are still filled with EPIC hatred is an impossible task. Red Hook would have sell this game at half the EA EPIC price on Steam to placate them.

You're absolutely right- if EA was on steam the price would have been probably the same as in EA EG. And yet you still wonder why people are pissed because of the price? I'll repeat what I said a bunch of times already- there wouldn't be a problem if they would have let us pre-order or made a a short sale on launch so that everyone would be able to buy the game for the same price as EG users. Because the EG price was essentially that- a pre-order, which steam users did not get.

Yes, I do hate epic games and this stuff is one great reason for it. Besides of having to wait extra long for it because of stupid exclusivity, now I'm also supposed to pay more than EG users? What a joke. Why I'm I supposed to be punished for choosing steam as my prefered platform

It amazing how much people who hate epic and don't use it, keep close tabs on what they are doing. Steam takes a bigger cut, having it be a few bucks more is understandable.

By keeping up you mean just checked the price? Which takes like 5 seconds to do?

I'm pretty sure almost all games have the same price tag across all platforms (GOG, EG, steam). Red hook seem to be one of the few exceptions for some reason.

Might go back to DD1 though ... I'm itching to play Darkest Dungeon again.^^

Even the 10% off Iron Deal isn't worth it when you factor in regional gouging for Oceania buyers. Add on the fact that they went to EGS and excluded Steam and I have no incentive to buy this. I'll wait until the game hits 50% off or more, and even then, I will undoubtedly have more games to get excited about from developers that don't buy into the EGS disloyalty to fans scheme.

It's weird that Steam and EGS have different prices for the game. Maybe they haven't updated the store page but the game is $3 cheaper on EGS for me.

Though with the discount on Steam it's cheaper here.

It's amazing how much people behave as if the developers (who propably don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about their community, same as most other developers are doing) would be close, best friends of them, defending them even against rather differenciated critique...

There is a 25% Discount if you own DD1 on Steam.

That's a lie, I have DD1 have had it for years i don't see that option.

Not that it matters, The game looks fun but my god does it look buggy from the gameplay i've watched.
