Additionally there's no need to kill a region boss during act 1. You can enter The Mountain without it.
The first act you only have to go through 2 regions. The rest of the acts you gotta go through 4.
All the Confessions have the full content, except Denial. For some reason, Denial only has half the content.
Inexplicably, it doesn't even pick the two easiest regions. It's got the Tangle which is one of the harder ones. I don't know why it's not the Sprawl (easiest region) and the Foetor (second easiest region).
4 initial characters have no way to clear corpses, making Foetor encounters harder than they need to be. PD gets her Magnesium Rain as the last shrine, while GR's dead of night only clears one corpse at a time.
Arguably, the starting team will have an easier time in Tangle, and the point of Denial is to get new players comfortable with the game. I think so, at least
The Tangle is so hard for a new team. Cadavers hit super hard and are hard to kill. The Unusual Suspects are capable of taking on the Dream General (assuming you upgraded Bolster or filled up on Laudanum) but after your first run (in which you probably shouldn't try a Lair boss), you'll have unlocked a whole bunch of other characters, and there's no guarantee you'll still be using them. He's the second hardest Lair boss, not very friendly to beginners.
Admittedly the Foetor's loot is lacking. If you don't have a Blight user, most of it is worthless. Not that the Tangle doesn't have a whole bunch of garbage loot either, but some of it is generally useful enough that most groups can use it.
