Too hard to tell without more information.

Did she take a hit bringing her to 0 health and then the dot finished her off? Or did she have like 3 health and went from alive to dead when the dot ticked?

she had 11 health, dot procd and instantly killed. It was a runaway on the arsonist path

trinketsdidnt include anything of doing damage to her, but even if it did why would it pass deaths door?

If the only damage really was the dot, then the game bugged out, that isn't possible. I'm pretty sure dot damage is only considered as one hit, even if you have multiple dot types and more than one damage number pops up.

If it wasn't a bug, there must have been something else that caused damage to happen on her turn. If it wasn't a trinket, I can't think of anything off the top of my head that would cause it, though.

Edit: Maybe a weird interaction with her applying a burn to herself on that turn, since she's an arsonist?

would make sense, but doesnt she apply the fire tod effect on herself and the damage only applies the next turn?

It should, just wondering if maybe some bug happened with that. Without some kind of combat log, there's no way to tell.

You say she had 11 HP, but how much was the DoT for?

Shouldn't matter. If it's more than 11; it would only bring her to DD again, and the deathblow check should come on the subsequent round.

there are so many variables it's hard to tell with out more info. there are trinkets for example that make you take damage when you resist a dot. if the dot brings you to zero health, then you resist damage from a different dot adding an additional 2 points of damage, that could outright kill you. i've had this happen w/ my flagellant who takes self damage, so he both reached deaths door then caught a deathblow nearly simultaneously.

My thoughts exactly, that's the most likely possibility I've seen here. This smells like the trinket that adds +200% to all DOT RES but deals 2 damage to you when you resist a DOT.

Arsonist takes DOT damage, is brought to Death's Door.
Arsonist tries to apply BRN to herself.
Trinket forces a resist, deals 2 damage to Arsonist while she is on Death's Door.
Arsonist fails DTH check and dies.
