Missing Characters at Crossroads?

I lost a run and when I started a new one I'm missing characters at the crossroads? Not like they are locked or anything they are outright gone and I can't start a new run because I only have three characters to select. I already tried reinstalling and everything but they are still gone. The only thing left to do is to restart my save and I don't really want to do that.

Update even when restarting the save it didn't change anything? The starting crossroads only has graverobber now.

Try editing your save. I'd start with "roster.json". Or, if you're restarting anyway, just outright delete it, and let the game create a new one. It should be in the
"C:\Users\<username>\AppData\LocalLow\RedHook\Darkest Dungeon II\SaveFiles".
And don't forget to disable cloud saves.
