Stygian Grand Slam parties
About to attempt mine. What are some well-rounded teams that are resilient enough to handle goofy bottom-of-the-bell-curve Stygian memes?

Also is running Flagellant just asking to lose a run to Elite Enemies ordained Death?

Flagellant is indeed a bit of a risk, up to you if you want to take that risk. He's really good so he could be worth it.

Because the Grand Slam requires fighting many different bosses with the same group, and not dying, you're most likely going to want to prioritize versatility and reliability.

You probably want one character capable of tanking, and the Man-at-Arms is highly versatile so it's a good choice here. Hellion isn't at all a bad choice either and provides great offensive options too.

The Plague Doctor is a pretty easy choice here. Great offensive capabilities, including against enemy Ranks 3 and 4, and nice healing and utility too.

The Grave Robber is reliable, which is important here. Her damage isn't the best but it's solid enough and she has abilities to keep herself alive during tough times.

Then it's really up to your preferences. Occultist? Jester? Highwayman?

Unusual Suspects for life.

I completed Grand Slam twice.

First team did it with Stygian Blaze:
Ritualist - Deadeye - Scourge - Poet

Second team was from a new profile, Unusual Suspects and no altar upgrades.

First team was easier, to be honest. And no, Death is no threat at all. On the contrary, it's free mastery points.

Might be out of date on this but I think the meta team is something like MAA - HWM - Jester - PD, could be wrong on Jester but either way every hero in the comp is so strong that imo it hardly matters what the fourth is. MAA breaks fights with his assloads of guard/riposte/taunt stacks and HWM eats and breathes damage. PD sticks huge DoTs which clean up anything HWM doesn't oneshot and cures/heals extremely reliably. Jester sticks combos all over the place, can reliably stick huge stress heals, has robust DoTs/damage, and has Encore.

Seething Sigh will be a massive problem. Your HWM is the only character who can deal any significant damage to 4th rank and stay in position while doing so. If he gets blinded, or loses a crit token for one round, you'll start losing control. If it happens two times in a row, you're kinda screwed.

You can still pull it off with proper preparations (healing items, stacked soaked linen, damage trinkets on HWM), but it's not a trivial matter.

I used an identical party except subbing Jester for GR. It's not an issue as long as your HWM is a Sharpshot. Back lung only needs 9 damage. If HWM can't one shot it, PD can contribute the 2-3 damage needed to finish it off.

He also should never get blinded if MAA is doing his job.

I'd probably be more worried about being able to hit the front lung, to be honest.

That's just Unusual Suspects. It's a solid team - I also did a Grand Slam with it.

What nice thing about Scourge make you pick Scourge over other path and other hero?

He has literally Redeem, for one.
