Alpha Release of Rooted – Your First Steps into Our World!

Hello Rooted Community!

We are excited to share some important news about the upcoming Alpha version of Rooted. We've decided to run the Alpha using the Playtest version on Steam. This means that for those of you who have pledged the game, as well as the lucky ones who will be selected from our draw (you can still register on our website), you will receive your Steam keys in June.

We understand the anticipation is high and we're grateful for your patience. We will make an announcement right here on Steam as well as on our Discord channel when the keys are sent out.

We can't wait for you to experience Rooted for the first time and are looking forward to your valuable feedback. Your participation in the Alpha will be a significant contribution to the further development of Rooted.

just to further comment on what i wrote before for any confused. check this link out and you can see who will get access to what version, depending on what option you bought.

seems all keys are sold out for now so anyone that is late to the party and just simply didnt want to commit and pledge money and thinks they will get access to the same time to those who did pledge well im sorry but you wont. Unless there becomes keys avialable for you do support the game then you will just have to wait for the steam EA, Those who did pledge will get access to the version of the key you bought.

Test keys on steam are different from the game purchase keys, and Mat has said they can issue a lot of them out, as they are generally limited to a set test (so a stress test needs 1000's of players, also Alpha 1/Alpha 2 ect)

The team has also stated they want to see what systems the game will struggle with, most probably to get a benchmark for low end/high end to gauge EA release.

If you not signed up for a test key, I would recommend it, it's not a 100% promise of getting in, but it's free and if it's free it's worth trying.

Yes the keys are sold out, you can no longer get access that way, but you can still apply for a spot in the Alpha on the website as i have said previously a chance is a chance, and good luck.

Mat has stated the following

On July 31st, we will be publishing a video featuring exclusive footage about the alpha, along with 2 announcements including the launch date of the alpha!
It will be announced on our various social media channels and right here

This information was released on discord and not on steam as promised previously by Mat.
