I'm playing this via emulation on a M3 Max, so despite the top specs of my laptop, even at Ultra Performance with FSR3 there are places (like Icarus) where the FPS tanks to 30s (though mostly it stays in the 40-60 range). In my experience 1440p or slightly above mixed with higher FSR setting gives much better FPS to quality ration than 4K at Ultra Performance. Mind you, the FSR in this game is surprisingly jaggy, even at 4K and quality setting the motion shimmer is strong with this one.
Because it's not the same thing my friend. The tensor cores, do use some of the board's power, in order to work their magic.
Here's an example, this is 4k/dlss performance essentially 1080p internal resolution, vs 1080p dlaa native. The latter is quite faster. The first has better image quality of course, when displayed on a 4k panel, but at the distance I am playing (4m) I don't care.
