Disappointment after gameplay reveal
I played way too mamy games in my life to know what kind of way is upcoming game heading. I love cyberpunk style, i like noir detectives, i like dark stories. I watched new 10 minutes gameplay video and this game is gonna be very mid.

Basically it is more like interactive movie walking simulator than anything else that developers promote it. The "detective" elements in this game are clearly very basic or even non existent. You literall just have everything important highlighted from far away as interactice icon and you dont have to do anything by yourself. No clue to clue, no thing, you just interact with items they give to you in silver plate and listen to dialogues.

It may have very good story, voice acting, atmosphere.. but as detective dark game this wont be sucessful. Maybe i am wrong and somehow this game will habe 40k positive reviews and sequel, but i think that way too many journalists along with people here on steam and reddit have exactly same opinion as me. I will probably buy it and play it, but i dont have high hopes for good enjoyable gameplay. Its more likely i will be bored before i finish it.

This is no hate or something simmiliar, i just wanted to share my thougs.

I never expected this to be shooter. But if you make game about detective, it should be more that walking and pressing "E" to activate highlighted items. There are mamy logic and detective games like sherlock holmes or L.A. Noire that you have to use your brain sometimes :D this is my concern. This looks basically like all those boring horror corridor walking simulators but except this is noir game without jumpscare.

naturally OP gets ♥♥♥♥ on but hes got some points here. some people in the comments are delusional "sorry its not a shooter" "its not an open world game" what even are these arguments? the game looks decent, but the detective aspect looks really like he described it, it looks like a lot of the stuff is getting spoon fed to you

who said ANYTHING about open world games here? he highlighted how the detective aspect looks pretty weak when everything gets handed to you. I have no idea why you would immediately jump to that

He literally did not ask for any of that, did you read his post?

Fanboys are the worst

Looks good to me, no game can ever be perfect though despite what we want or expect from each.

However, for this one I think you're wrong, I think there is a little bit of gunplay but probably not the way you'd expect since at one point in the trailer you do see a gun in-hand.

Personally for me, I'm getting strong Altered Carbon and Bladerunner Vibes from the game which to me indicates a much slower walking-simulator-like pace and I believe there will be decent immersion with decent detective mechanics. I just think that they don't show it all so it looks basic and its probably a bit more to it than that.

You might enjoy Shadows of Doubt, but it's a bit on a janky side at a moment - still enjoyable detective game if you manage to get past the jank.

it's really a garbage game with annoying characters, terrible 'humor' and a boring fictional world you're forced to hear about for the whole 6 hours of gameplay that you don't care about in the slightest. Avoid it like plague

Very simple just don't play it.If you bought it and went past the return time of 2 hrs theirs really nothing you can do anyway. However i bet there will be tons of steam players that like it.
the games we play are just that games.at the end its really the game developers that had this game in mind so they put it together. We forget that we are not the ones making the game.Yes we can ♥♥♥♥♥ all we want and say how the game should of been or what isn't. Some times we get the good and a lot of times it sucks to pay for games we didn't like or games we thought should of been different.I try to get into the game as soon as its downloaded. If i'm hating it within the first hour to hour in a half i ask for a refund. That's all we can do.

This didn't age well now that we know the "gameplay" in this game can only be put into brackets.

im still tempted on this game or experience. only £15. i could go torrent it and see but be nice if the devs make enough to make sequel that expands on what extra is needed
