What is the answer to the cursed key puzzle on the train

after talking to everyone the killer was the mom for the son's resume using the guy's poison tree poison.

what did you do after that? I put in the right things and they gave me a ring but now the curse is still apparently unsolved? everyone is only talking about how I solved it and I cant interact in another way

Pest the conductor more by making random hypotheses. You need to make him regret giving you the gift

What do I do after clicking detective mode on everyone?? I can't find a way to talk to the conductor or anything else to interact with, in my inventory it's listed as uncursed key but the key option still pops up when I use the uncursing device

I think it's a bug I quit to the main menu in the middle of the curse once and it made me unable to speak with the conductor and the only way I could speak with him was to start a whole new playthrough
