If it's as good as previous game by Asymmetric then price < quality

I just like the more serious gameplay and plot, I'm tired of games like Supraland that make jokes for kids

Why do you think asking this on a game forum would give you any useful advice? Watch someone play it on YouTube or something.

I mean, it's definitely not serious. Like Kingdom of Loathing and West of Loathing, the tone of game is primarily comedic. If you think comedy and a weird sense of humor are "for kids," I don't know what to tell you, but I do kind of pity you.

I’d definitely recommend buying and Playing West of Loathing before getting into this one. This one has lots of references to the first game and it’ll be much easier to understand once you’re familiar with all the mechanics that were in the last one. Plus, West of Loathing is cheaper, so there’s less risk to try out the series

Just do it. :D
I bought it as an impulse buy because old school kingdom of loathing and west of loathing were amazing.
I did a live stream right after i bought it of the first 2 hours here:

Definitely worth a buy, I'm thinking of gifting it to friends.

I own hundreds of games on Steam and, if you'd like my advice, I strongly suggest buying and/or checking out anything done by Asymmetric; these guys have decades of experience generating content. From their first, and most well-known, browser game, Kingdom of Loathing, to their first Steam title, West of Loathing, you'll find a lot to do and even more humor: from goofy pop-culture references to more cerebral humor such as palindromes and wordplay, but nothing stupid or puerile.

Gameplay is pretty much your typical turn-based RPG fare, and a good amount of reading.

to be fair Supraland was pretty asinine, these games are actually funny though

I mean, references to obscure mathematical theories, literature, rock music, and more are hardly "for kids"-- I mean yes there's some fart jokes and other more juvenile humor but there's also a ton of more clever, subtle stuff: from lampooning genre cliches to meta-humor to KoL's trademark references and in-jokes.

Do you like tongue-in-cheek humor and don't mind simple graphics but lot's to do and see? If you want a taste of what you'll get, grab West of Loathing as it's the direct predecessor to this game.
