I bought it as an impulse buy because old school kingdom of loathing and west of loathing were amazing.

Definitely worth a buy, I'm thinking of gifting it to friends.
Gameplay is pretty much your typical turn-based RPG fare, and a good amount of reading.

I mean, references to obscure mathematical theories, literature, rock music, and more are hardly "for kids"-- I mean yes there's some fart jokes and other more juvenile humor but there's also a ton of more clever, subtle stuff: from lampooning genre cliches to meta-humor to KoL's trademark references and in-jokes.
