Does the Meteorite have any value outside of raising property value?

I just cleared the Wormhole house, and I can raise the price back up to 5700 so I get 570 Meat. I also know it's used for a quest where they take only a piece of it, which I have completed.

Does the Meteorite—once the quest is completed and the house is finished—have any value, or once you complete the house it's just meant to be used as a bargaining chip for more cash. I feel like I could be missing out on something because I get the option "I'll take your first offer I'm keeping the Meteor" and that really bugs me because I know there's a lot of missable content in this game and I can't tell if it's just one of those "Choices" you can make that ultimately is just more a shot in your foot.
