Infinite S.I.T. hallway - truly infinite?

Passed 110 rooms there and, from what I can tell, it is indeed infinite - because it is procedurally generated. That brings me to two points.
1. Could the developers please confirm?
2. The amount of sophisticated coding and mechanics that went into the game with these visuals is admirable. Even better-painted, inequally budgeted games nowadays cannot reach that high. Commendations are in order.

No, its not. If you keep moving right for about fifteen minutes you'll unlock the void spider pet after a difficult battle.

Really, 'cuz I've afked for over 999 rooms now and never saw it. Does the fight stop you in your tracks or do you have to stop and interact with it, 'cuz unless it stops you I might of passed it without noticing.
