There desperately needs to be a reset button for this, its impossible to do without one, as I misclicked and am now locked out. Why would you put such a fustrating thing in the game? I keep trying to explore the house but I keep messing up.

You're kinda *supposed* to get locked out of it- There's no specific button or anything that saves the house from getting erased in the end, it's just like that.

I restarted after I messed it up the first time. Second time I just left the game running and did some work. When I came back the Dad had come back and initiated a dialogue where he declared me a "good egg" and entrusted his daughters safety to me.

FWIW, I've gotten to the point where you can't look at the dad either, and by then your only option appears to be leaving so.. eh? Might just be a one-way ticket.

The reference to Medusa in the bedroom mirror (and the fact that they both turn into stone pillars if you look) makes me wonder if there's a mirror hat you can wear or something though?

Just so we avoid another "infinite hallway" troll, can you post an imgur screenshot of the daughter (as your companion) highlighted during combat? Would be nice to have proof & see her stats before wasting more time.

I'm just mad she appears to the left. Right where Barker was there, doing something where I wanted to check on him so I autopilot to go that way after the talk. Literally didn't clock she was there until it already happened

I tried various things by making save file backups and getting the necklace or the towel is as far as you can get in this location.

I'm really confused and a bit annoyed right now, because I kept going through the loop of the house, but getting to the wardrobe said I needed the daughter's key, something that I could never find after multiple circuits interacting with everything I could. Now the house is gone, presumably forever, and I have no idea what I could have done to remedy the situation. I really adore this series, but this was a bit too nebulous for me.
