Theres a way to get into the bank vault from there? apparently? But i never found it

Listen carefully when you go through the arches, it makes a slightly different noise when you go through the correct one. This will eventually lead you to the riverboat. If you come back and use the altar again after the riverboat quest, you'll get sent to the bank vault.

the tone sounds the same every time I go through an arch, is there any hint as to what the pattern is? Do I need to do something else first?

The noise is such a small difference that I had to turn my music off for it, the Arches I went under through Trial and Error were Left, Middle, Left, Middle, Right, Middle, Right, Top Right, and Top Left. After that, I found a whole bunch of nudists who gave me the location of the river boat after beating them.

Not sure if the answer is different for everyone, but taking the doors from left to right as 1 through 5, my solution was: (for if you have hearing difficulty or other struggles solving this puzzle)

121 252 543 gets you to the nudists

WARNING, you get two uses of the altar, I chose to go to charles rather than the vault and it locked me out of ever getting to the vault. They don't really warn you of this.

It doesn't take you to the real charles by the way, no shortcuts.

Oddly enough you can get 3 uses if you wish for mud the first time and meat the next two. The mud doesn't seem to do anything though.

I'm still stuck on this :-\ I can't hear any difference going through the doorways, and my attempts to map out which door goes to which seem to not make any sense. Occasionally I see people wander in on the edges but they won't stop for me? I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for, and I've tried the door combo posted earlier in this thread with no luck. Any suggestions?

Did you try my spoilered pathway above wml11? The sound is the same, but a little louder/harsher when it is the right one. Try going through the doors in the order 121 252 543

Yep, I tried that multiple times (restarting fresh, always going through front to back, always going back to front, stripping down nekkid just in case the nudists I'm not supposed to know about cared, etc.) and still no luck. Will try again and listen for the sound difference now that I know what to pay attention to.

ETA: Did it again fresh and this time it worked. NO idea what I was doing wrong before. Thanks!

Weird! Glad it worked!

I don't think it matters which way you go through the gates, I just walked in the middle and went up or down depending on which was easier.
