Pacifists-What was your hardest spot to be one?
What class are you as well?

As far as why it is hardest in that spot-was it because of a skill check, a way you accidentally softlocked yourself out of (like P.E. Class being a softlock for a pacifist run if I understand correctly at this point in the game) or something else?

I am looking to do a pacifist run while I do another run and I am hoping to compile a list of things that will make it easier for myself and others. I want to prepare as much as I can and go fairly slow.

Any general tips?

One I learned early on last run was that you can select a route in the options that allows you to grey out any violent options. Should help visually so I don't accidentally goof up.

Tips / Where pacifist was annoying
1. The Junkyard in Crystaldream is super confusing unless you know how to bypass the fairies. Tip - The larger hole in the bell room is a tunnel. I would NEVER have found that on my own
2. Hobos are much more complicated. Certain ones are trapped behind groups of enemies, with no way around them. Tip- The rich hobo in Grey County is stuck behind vampires, to get past you have to examine the trailer, examine the ring, and talk to the vamps. again, I had literally no idea this was a thing until I read a guide. To get Doc, you have to UNCHECK 'pacifist' in the options menu. Because Beppo's Hole is for combat, you don't encounter it wandering
3. the S.I.T. Botany course is locked, which means you can't get Barker - this affects the 'good' ending. Tip- The easiest 'good ending' as a pacifist is Gabby's companion ending, or doing enough research in S.I.T. to get the scroll from Wormwood
4. LOTS of debuffs, It's real annoying how often you have to choose to surrender and get negative effects. A tip for this- learn where the sinks are, and use them to clear the debuffs
5. You can't get Paul in Big Moist his voice back, since it requires hunting
6. It's much harder to level up, because you don't get xp from fights. Tip - Try to buy as many items or consumables that up your Muscle/Moxie/Mysticality early on. The little random encounters where you can use those stats on something inconsequential are the easiest way to get XP
7. WEAR THE SHADOW RING. Especially as you get to the later chapters, shadow creatures pop up EVERYWHERE. On my pacifist run I ended up wearing it pretty much from S.I.T onward
8. Sell the weapons and combat items you get as random loot, and fish often. You won't be using them, and it adds up!

These are such good tips! Thank you, I can go back and get a few of these done on that playthrough now. Awesome work!
