Goldthwait park pacifist?
I'm trying to do a pacifist run of the game, as best i can at least. I'm at goldthwait park right now, though, and i'm a little bit stumped- I don't see a way to handle the weeds outside of just killing them. Any tips?

The maintenance closet has weed killer. Unfortunately, I'm not sure if it's possible to handle the butterflies pacifist.

I am 100% positive that most encounters don't have a pacifist way through them. You will lose out on a lot of content if you do wish to remain pacifist. Besides, this is not the kind of game that takes violence seriously, you can always convince yourself that, in 80% encounters, you just knock the bunch out to proceed.

i don't think any of the park side quests are actually mandatory. if you can't clear all the park encounters without combat you might just have to wander around the city until you have enough meat to bribe the mobsters?

there's an achievement for a pacifist run, that's why people are serious about attempting it.

Thus far everything else i've run into has had a pacifist means to handle it- Skill checks, some sorta puzzle, equipment, heck a lot of combat encounters let you just take the beating to avoid the fight. There's also an achievement for going through the entire game pacifist, and *also* also a thing in the prologue that *specifically says* that you don't ever *have* to fight.

Mad respect for that, then. I always go for the pacifist approaches, but in serious games. Where 9/10 times it is not intended or the game does not anyhow address it. But it is definitely a neat touch where a game like this puts more effort into being interesting than everything else around us.

Given that the sidequests in the park are optional, it wouldn't surprise me if one of them is impossible to complete pacifist, since you can still beat the game without it.

There are very few situations in the game that do not have pacifist solutions.

Pacifist also seems to be a very selective term. Plenty of noncombat solutions still involve violence or killing.

It is absolutely possible it just takes a mysticality of about 9. Some options seem to be hidden until your stat is high enough.

Be warned. Things get weird.

Uh,,,I just grabbed weed killer from the Maintenance Department building and then put it in the watering system and you need like 2 muscle to do it. No mysticality needed at all.
