This ridiculous Astrology puzzle
So unfortunate me picked Astrology in S.I.T. and this puzzle makes no sense, and since it's now required for progression I'm basically softlocked. None of the missing constellations seem to fit the ones you can see no matter how you try to mentally flip them around. Maybe if I busted out some paper and actually drew out just the dots as you can see them I could try to match things up, but I'm not f'n doing that.

Has anyone figured any part of this out? Could I get maybe one example of a missing constellation that's not actually 'fake' so I can get a better idea of what the heck I'm looking for?

Edit: Steam won't let me reply but thanks doublejesus etc., the 'change of perspective' or whatever hint from the teacher made me think I was supposed to actually compare the missing ones to the ones I found. I stared at that crap way too long. Didn't help that I kept trying to fiddle with the telescope not realizing I had to ask around to unlock the option to mess with it. Thank you!

go to the library and ask them about it, then you can view them all. I recommend writing down the constellations you can see so you have them laid out and easy to see the fakes

If you are really desperate, look under "Guides" here on steam - the "[WIP] Guide to S.I.T Courses" has the solution.
Example of a fake constellation: Texas .

Damn it, so this is the punishment for being too prideful. The thought to ask others for help never crossed my mind. I spend more than an hour trying to connect the dots between 3 different layers of stars

Nothing wrong with being prideful and/ or stubborn. But yeah most of the puzzles have a comedic solution so taking a break from literal interpretations can help.
