Is there a way to get in there? Or is it just an endless fight against mushrooms? I have fought like 30 or 40 fights so far and it just doesn't end...

If you place an Outhouse in the past there, you can clear it out before it becomes infested. I honestly don't remember if there was actually anything in there tho.

If you go to the past at the Mushroom Cave and clear out the mushrooms, you have a choice to make. Picking up the axe in the PAST gives you Muscle+3 damage with +2 Beeding but if you leave the axe alone and pick it up in the PRESENT upgrades it to Muscle+4 damage and -3 Moxie to your target
