Here is the sequence:
Going from left to right, go into the arches in the following order 121252543
Ooh, thank you - I hadn't considered the sound angle. (I generally play with my music off and the other sound pretty low, too!)
The only leads I have is that none of the words have over six letters. The one that would have been over 6 (drowned) has been arbitrarily shortened to 'drown'd'. Second, both the poem about Mary and the Nudist's Creed have nine words? That could possibly correspond to the fact that there's nine arch spaces. But there's only five working arches, and that still stumps me
