I got far enough to get the bat and find the crow, but no further atm.

It's a long one, and involves getting items from each dream. You may need to visit dreams multiple times to get characters in the correct state, or to move items between dreams.

Next step for you:
Open a door in the antique shop to get instructed to make a lawnmower
Then:
Convince the kid to make a lawnmower by "distracting" the investigator (die in front of him and then talk to him again afterwards)
Parts to build:
Get an axe (from the woodsman's corpse) and a stick (talking tree to the left) from the woodcutter dream
Get the terminator movie and a wheel (both in the car trunk) from the slasher dream
Get an axe (Trade it for the movie) and a stick (from the crow display) from the galic/roman dream
get a wheel from the train dream (ask the rubber salesman)
Once you have that:
Take the lawnmower to the baseball dream and have the coach motivate it
And finally:
Take the motivated lawnmower to the slasher dream to complete the curse
