Need help with the chemical puzzle...

In SIT, the chemistry department asks for chrome cleaner from the machine; but with just the chemicals provided i cannot make that happen. The game says to speak to the librarians, but she just implies that the founder of the department is *actually* the statue.

There's a number of steps to solving this puzzle. With the two chemicals you start with, you can make a solution that will help you learn how to get the third. With three, you can make a solution that will help you learn how to get the fourth.

I'm also stumped on the first step of this puzzle, anyone know the solution so i can continue the game?

*Need to make Velum softener for the book next to the chemistry set as the first part.
I just made one of each to find that out...

Thanks for that mine wasnt the same combination but it did start with 3 - the puzzle was incredibly stupid and definitely not fun or rewarding which makes it a failure of a puzzle in my opinion. Glad its done now.

how do you start this one I'm stuck at just two hopper and made all the chemical and walked to the book nothing and the statue and still nothing idk if I'm just missing something
