(SPOILERS AHEAD) Longerfellow's padlock combinations.
there are 2 padlocks that uses both the same date (january 4th 1845), but uses 2 different formats.

the first one is "maritime plus" (YY-DM-DM but reversed so: MD-MD-YY), roughtly translated into: "140054" (this is the solution for the first padlock).

the second one is trickier, because it calls in others date formats + other 2 date entries. in the end: the solution is always the same date from before (january 4th 1845), but it uses one of the new formats, named "paddle accademy standard" (DY-MD-YM), roughtly translated into: "040154" (this is the solution for the toilets's padlock).

You're doing gods work. I am absolutely horrendous with codes!

LITTLE EDIT: apparently the game uses a WRONG combination for the second padlock (the toilet's padlock). theoretically it should be "paddle accademy standard" (DY-MD-YM) for january 4th 1845, that roughtly translates into: "040451", but apparently this isn't the combination.

There is an error within the puzzle, basicly the developers mistaken day and month, in the code section XX-MD-XX, writing XX-01-XX (thats wrong, it wants the first number of the month "0", and then wants the second number of the day "4") instead of XX-04-XX, the second number of the second column wants DAY, not MONTH.

You guys should still use 040154 as the toilet's padlock combination, but in reality is wrong.

The code to the first padlock is actually 140054. Which doesn't map to any of the given formats. Maritime Plus being Maritime Basic "reversed" could be taken several ways: take the format YY-MD-MD and reverse it to DM-DM-YY, which would give 004145; take the format YY-MD-MD and reverse the fields to MD-MD-YY, which would give 001445; or, the most obvious, take the result of YY-MD-MD and reverse it, which would give 410054 - very close, but incorrect. I strongly suspect the puzzle itself has the wrong answer.

Honestly, the padlock codes/hints are awful and sloppy. I don't know how anyone can get through them without just looking them up.

this doesn't make any sense at all to me.
he says it's january 4, 1845
and then says it's either MM-DD-YY which would be 010445 (i tried that, it's wrong)
or DD-MM-YY which is 040145 (wrong again)
or YY-MD-MD and first WTF? no organization does dates that way? wtf does that even mean?

like 45 and then 0104, but only the first digit of the md and then the second digits to make
450014?
i tried that, but that's wrong too.

and lastly, he says "it be that backwards", so i tried 410054 and that's wrong too

or is it YYMDMD but backwards to be DMDMYY? 004145 (wrong again)

and where TF DOES THE 3 COME FROM?!
and yeah OP is clearly giving wrong info here, like MDMDYY is not 530014 (i tried it anyway, it was wrong)

the captain says maritime plus is maritime basic but backwards
if maritime basic is YYMDMD 450014 (wrong), then is backwards MDMDYY 001445(wrong)or is it DMDMYY 004145 (also wrong)

so. . .the person above me is saying that the actual code doesn't match up with any of the formats that the guy says it is, which explains my confusion what a stupid puzzle.

it's kind of like what i complained about in the chemistry puzzle where they incorrectly swapped them alchemy symbols , of which it was moot, because it turns out that information was not essential to solving it , but still, this is even worse.

i love this game sereies but stuff like this angers me. it makes me feel stupid even though i'm not even the one who screwed up.

and yeah 140054 worked and wtf is that?
the second digit of M, second digit of D first digits of M and D and then the YY backwards.

or when the guy says maritime format But backwards, he doesn't mean YY45 MD00 MD14 but backwards to be DMMDYY410054, instead it's MD14MD00YYbackwards54. so,MD 00 in the middle could be DM 00 it's possible that the middle part is backwards, because 00 backwards is 00 but then the MD14 isn't backwards?
yeah, no they screwed up.

edit : and yeah, with the toilet padlock. i dunno how anyone was to guess that it's using paddle academy standard, especially when they have it wrong. instead of DYMDYM, it's DYMMYD . . .almost like it's calling the player a dummy. . .

The toilet padlock isn't using paddle academy standard.

fair enough, but care to explain maritime plus?

if maritime basic is supposed to be YYMDMD, and maritime plus is maritime basic, but backwards, how do we logic out that correct combination?

do i take YYMDMD and reverse it?
do i plug in the numbers for YYMDMD and reverse the result?
or do i plug in the pairs of the numbes like YY reverse then MD reversed, then MD reversed?

because if the standard numbers are M0M1D0D4Y4Y5
then shouldny maritime basic be 450014?
and there's 3 ways to reverse that is taking Y4Y5M0D0M1D4 and reversing that to make 410054

or taking YY 45 then MD 00 then MD 14 and then leaving that alone, and connecting it to the 00 to make 4500,but then reversing the second MD14 so it becomes 41, then connecting it to that so it becomes 450041 and THEN reversing the end result to get 140054?!

is there some actual logic here or was this just a coding error? bedcause i sure as heck can't see any logic how 450014 is supposed to turn into 140054

I'll need to confer with the puzzle author on that one.
