Does anyone have a list of companions and familiars?

I think we should put together a list of them to make it easier, because one of the problems with missable content is that you don't know what you don't have, there's no blank spot on the inventory sheet telling you you've missed something, so you could play a dozen times and never find out you missed something.

I've played through three times now, my first time was without spoilers or guides and I only found three companions (Gabby, Molly and the Professor), the second time I've done almost literally everything I can find and I've only found one more (the oboe hobo). I've heard of an allegations of an allegator, but couldn't find him.

Similar with familiars I did everything I could find and I have the Sparrow, turtle, mosquito, snake, greedy frog, dough baby, mechanical doll and nutcracker and the infamous goldfish. I know there MUST be more out there but I haven't found any hints (except maybe the phase spider in S.I.T.)

Also I've only unlocked one vignette for the professor and done all of Molly's chain, I can't get Gabby's to trigger or the Hoboe (and I've heard it's quite unique with a minigame), a list of areas would help so you don't have to swap out every companion and then spend half an hour doing wanders in each zone.

Each SIT major offers a different companion. For the alleged alligator Alphonse all I had to do was wander the swamp with high shadow taint and he found me almost immediately.

Some familiars you missed:

Worm - Build the outhouse at the pet shop and do the side quest in the past, then return to the present pet shop later.

Stink Bug - Got it randomly wandering the swamp, seems kind of rare.

Shadow Starling - In the shadow rift in Baba Yaga's basement

I've heard an early rift has a rat familiar. But I'm pretty sure the void spider thing was a troll. (You can get a spider companion just by turning Arachnophilia on in the settings, but that's not a familiar)

Gabby's vignettes are both in the lake. Alphonse's are both in the swamp.

there's two toy familiars you can get from battles in the ch6 area, i got them last run never used them, they were both attack familiars, bleed on one, stench damage on the other iirc.
i got the stinkbug from a battle, stench damage to all enemies, it's pretty good but has diminishing returns on it's attack as it's moxie reduces on activation (not great for the backup skill).

the vignettes seem like they're triggered by location.
molly's both trigger in ch5 area locations (edit: ch5 bus stop for the 1st, the 2nd triggers on going to the ocean city start location and will cost 1000 meat)
the 1st of obie's triggered (for me) in the bus stop in the swamp, havn't encountered his second yet.
the 1st of adam's triggered (for me) in the sit library.
i havn't seen either of their 2nd vignettes yet, so i'm assuming they're in one of the later chapter areas.

you need some amount, doesn't need to be much (i wasn't even level 1 either run), of shadow taint gained from using shadow food/potions for alphonse (the gatorman) to turn up. (edit2: alphonse's 1st vignette triggers at they fly man's house in the swamp, 2nd at the bass farm)

I think those are the mechanical doll and nutcracker, I got them wandering in Ch. 6.

I got all of Molly's fairly easily but she was my main travelling companion, it seems like Alfonse is the only companion I missed entirely, i just need to not to chemistry next run to see another companion.

I missed all the shadow stuff just because I had zero shadow taint all of my runs (I plan to do a proper shadow run-- not to be confused with shadowrun-- later because that's the kind of run which really benefits from a guide), but if you don't have to go beyond the point you can cleanse yourself to get alfonse I may do that.
