the challenges you bypass are the ones you need to unlock said guns.
like how the tempus torrent requires 25 doublekills* with marksman rifles before you can unlock it, you can literally bypass all 25 of those doublekills* by simply extracting the gun in DMZ and it will be unlocked in every game mode.
DMZ was literally ADVERTISED as a way to UNLOCK GUNS in a FREE TO PLAY PVPVE environment.
idk what your problem is but you clearly have reading comprehension problems.
when i said that the DEVELOPERS CREATED THIS MODE WITH THAT IN MIND i wasn't saying the only point for DMZ was to extract guns.
in the developers POV, that's literally the entire point of the game mode. - it is simply a free option to unlock guns, the missions and tasks and such are just things to keep you from getting bored if you play it exclusively.
a FREE GAME that you can use to UNLOCK GUNS you would otherwise have to play multiplayer to get.
and to clarify ONCE MORE: if you finish all of the missions for each faction YOU HAVE COMPLETED DMZ.
all that is left to do is player kill which for some reason is something dirty to do in a pvp game?
i just wanna know @DeanW, do you really not know that you can extract guns to unlock them or something?
why do you think there's posts every so often where people are asking for DMZ drops where people will drop them the crossbow or something?
because DMZ extracted weapons unlock the weapons in your MP profile, you don't have to unlock them by completing the challenge.
that's why each unlockable gun says under its challenge "or extract weapon from DMZ"
if so i can literally drop them for you in DMZ and you will unlock them and never need to complete the challenge.
that's what DMZs main purpose is, the missions are just filler and thinking they're going to continue updating a free game thats entire purpose is based on the extraction of weapons to unlock them, (again that's the developers reason for the mode not yours as a gamer,) is crazy.
DMZ is for unlocking weapons without having to do the challenges for the unlock.
you tried to say that DMZ doesn't do anything to unlock or bypass challenges but it does.
don't have the crossbow unlocked?
get someone to drop it for you in DMZ.
that's literally the ENTIRE point of DMZ from the developers perspective.

The felling is more like a running game then a combat game.

When the devs will realize that they need to fix those mistakes then maybe the DMZ mode will still have a chance for survive or atleast they could add also a hardcore mode for dmz as it was the hardcore mode on mp.
For me and most of my friend DMZ is over, we did every single thing that was possible and we got bored to run 15 min after somebody who have stealth vest and scuba mask to kill him just because we cant do 1 hit, we hit him over 30 times in this whole running crap and he still is able to run, swim, replate, survive etc.
I saw you post the exact same thing in multiple posts, and you may be right, that's what someone will think at first.
To someone that plays a lot of DMZ and sees how most of people play DMZ, I understand your problem, or at least I think so, cause I see a lot of people playing like DMZ is BR or MP, and it's not.
The problem is, and I see a lot of players making this kind of mistakes, most of players just take a good high position and snipe all the time, that doesn't work when you're against a full team, maybe against a solo. I always say my team to rush, cause if you snipe from a distance and don't move from that position, yes, that's what happens.
Yes, you can kill without putting you in danger with sniper, but they're gonna revive each other over and over, that's why that "strategy" is ♥♥♥♥ and can't understand why a lot of players do it, then I rush, cause it's the right thing to do if you wanna win in a fight, my team left me rush alone, I die, then they die cause opposite team rush them.
So, if you don't want things like you say to happen, learn to rush. And besides that, it's important to understand that this is a team-played mode, you're not gonna last if each member of your team don't give a ♥♥♥♥ and go by his/her own. I say that cause feels so good when a team is well compenetrated and things go well, you can easy blow up a team in seconds if you do this.
I know very well everything you say, i have 2k hours on DMZ, i have a positive K/D, but i still fell like i shoot with paintball weapons, i still think that selfrevive kits shound be something very rare, i still think that you can be revived only once not over and over.
I know, and I can understand that. But I think there's a reason for all of that.
If you teamplay you barely use selfrevives, cause your own team revives u. Self revives are good for solo players, and it's alredy hard to play solo, let them have a little help lol
The only possible scenario where selfrevive could be a problem is in fights with another team, cause yes, you can down one of them and meanwhile you try to kill the other they can selfrevive, that's why you should always kill them, not let them in the ground. If you do that, selfrevives are useless.
In my case, when I down some player I thrown them semtex to assure they stay in the ground if I'm not near them to kill them.
They should have let it as it was in the begining without to nerf all weapons to make us to fell that we play paintball!
With this post, I'm confident that they will atleast continue it's beta in some form and hopefully we'll see a full release one day but you cannot rush perfection.
I just pray they do not discontinue it.
