Hunt squad target solo players

How come hunt squad only targets solo players even if you don't have any loot on you. I had 3 hunt squads on me in one game got killed in third one. this always happens, even without guns and loot i get targeted by the system.
is it true that if you leave the match when knocked down your gear and guns disappear?

they shouldnt be in DMZ in the first place, but yea its annoying i dunno what they were thinking

They do it, because they cant compete in Warzone. You see, they need 2 to 1 odds or better and the game to show them where you are, to win, so they can feel good about themselves.
