What are your DMZ Ideas?

Personally I don’t think the risk reward is high enough. I wish it was more of a hardcore mode style of game play with no HUD. At this point I feel like I’m just playing warzone with AI

Let me get 3 plate armor and a bigger backpack somehow before going in.
AI only. No toxic players.

AI only. Offline PvE.

start with 2 plate armor,
make bots drop plate more reliably, with bonus plate if you headshot them
make 3 plate a little more common OR make it cheaper at buy stations
solo queue
tone down the volume of heavily armored bots towards the end, feels like you drown in them if you end up in 1 spot for more than 1 minute or 2, keep the same number of bots but throw in some unarmored ones instead
give me a reason to extract with certain loot aside from xp/cash, let me make use of it like Tarkov
let me extract and stash more than just guns too, maybe large backpacks and plate carriers
If i can trigger an extract it should always arrive, Ive had the Radiation close an extraction after Ive triggered it and the chopper didnt spawn

Third person DMZ playlist.

id like that they make every gun purchasable via buy stations in dmz there can be a rotation but every weapon should be buyable except m13 maybe? the common ones only i mean

A coop DMZ only would be cool. So you don't have to deal with Exfil camping sweats and those that abuse the "request to join nearby squads" thing in order to know if a team is near you or lure them into thinking you are friendly.

Players vs AI army would be cool lol.

few points...

- when your done all the quests and have unlocked everything... now what. Good gameplay loops keep people playing, not mindless grind by itself.

- add in an item, that allows you to summon a chopper of NPCs that will not attack you, but will act normally towards other players. Imagine the chaos of an attack team coming in as your xfil'in... or calling for backup if your outgunned and overrun. Calling in dogs could be fun too. Maybe drone attacks.

- day/night cycles... night will make it harder by virtue of darkness.

- add weather effects. picture thick fog rolling in for a bit, heavy rain, or a thunderstorm (you already have a small one in game)

- while zombies might be overdone, you could add some sort of rampaging threat that moves from A--->B and could overrun your position.

- randomize number of enemies in an area.

- Planting secrets on the map, or having a random event spawn.

- reasons to squad up with 3 other players. I had a positive run with some random players, we got attacked twice and almost didnt xfil. Imagine grouping up for a super stronghold mission or something.

The gameplay loop at the core is fairly bad, quests do carry it for sure.
I think daily and weekly quests would help but they for sure need a larger task and reward for better players.

To OP, but a solo should be able to hire two ai, due one ai and triple none. I feel like the 1v3 situation even if the one player is pro and the 3 are just good, the 3 will win due to bullet sponging, having 2 ai with you would help alot.

- day/night cycles... night will make it harder by virtue of darkness.
Agreed, but they need to be careful as 99% of us will just have a preset for when it's night to make it brighter to dog on console players. Also making sure ai isn't a walk in the park as they cant see, then you also cannot let them laser at range still as some set ups wont even see what is shooting.

- add weather effects. picture thick fog rolling in for a bit, heavy rain, or a thunderstorm (you already have a small one in game)
Game changing weather effects would be great, ie crazy winds so heli extracts change to boat, if you want a heli extract you need to pay for a private one the more you pay the closer it will land to you,

- while zombies might be overdone, you could add some sort of rampaging threat that moves from A--->B and could overrun your position.

Zombies would be a bit stupid with the theme, plus everyone would just run them over, use a streak or kite them with the LVT .50, but adding something like a MW3 streak called strafe run, where a large amount of helis come over an, have them destroy the environment so it's like a 'new' area.

- randomize number of enemies in an area.
AI spawning seems messed up. If you get to areas to fast they can spawn on you, or just not spawn. I think more variation over number would be better, why riot sheilds everywhere, give some rioded 7 foot guy an axe to run out of a strong hold and smack someone down in two hits

- Planting secrets on the map, or having a random event spawn.
This could be a thing already tbh. But as far as i've seen there has been no secrets other than little zones with crazy loot.

- reasons to squad up with 3 other players. I had a positive run with some random players, we got attacked twice and almost didnt xfil. Imagine grouping up for a super stronghold mission or something.
I think there is already a good reason to team up, but they should give small rewards for a group of 3 randoms xfilling, so that they are wanting to work together and not just spawn in so they have less people to deal with and using them as information.

i think you're looking for a game called tarkov, it's by far the biggest high risk high reward FPS. you can lose 3 hours in 30 seconds. you can progress 10 hours in 20 mins.

  • Map needs to be found (drop or caches)
  • Cycles between day and night + weather
  • Random events e.g. special AI hunting you
  • Launch version contract spawns

Zixky, thanks for the ncie replies. good points and your right i somethings i said are likely OP,

I merely hope that this encourages the dev's and the publisher to invest in something that can make the players happier and net the game a decent player base going forward. hopefully encouraging some spending to support the game and its positive improvements as a whole.

Instead of the likely hood that dmz will fade away and warzone will be left.

Level out the AI types. I feel like I see the insurgent/militia types for the first five minutes, a few regulars, and then from there on out it's nothing but bucket bois. Solo queuing is a ridiculous grind because of this (maybe it was done to encourage group play, but it is still ridiculous even with a three stack). Add more of them, like cops or mercenary groups, and spread them out from the cloud center. I know COD isn't exactly a narrative game, but it causes some dissonance that this country experiencing a dirty bomb crisis has its best infantry all over the map, instead of grouping up near the crisis (either preparing to push in or supporting the forces already in the cloud).

It should have a layered spawn system. Let's say the cloud is in Al Mazrah. You'll definitely have bucket bois and blue bois in Al Mazrah, and find their patrols rotating between the city and nearby points. The chances of finding them in the nearby points is lessened, but not low. The nearby points will have mostly regulars and regular patrols. Going out further, the Quarry, Caves, Observatory, and Pass will have mixes of regulars and militia. Beyond that, militia and maybe the cop/merc mobs if they added those.

I feel like this would add depth to the difficulty of the map, give some environmental story telling, and provide variety to the encounters you find in each play through.

edit: spelling

I would love to see an option when carrying items in your backpack like a "secure" pouch or pocket to put intel into that you can't just sell at a buy station accidentally if it is something you need to exfil with.

Also I love Valius's Idea about the Weather and the day/night cycles.
