EOMM in Ranked

So my Dad bought MW3 and has been playing Invasion mostly and he sucks. He can only ever get a few kills per Match but enjoys the challenge.

I had an Idea for me to join his Party and play Ranked.

What I noticed was there has to be a hidden Matchmaking mechanic when it comes to Ranked because the Bronze players that were in his Matches were so low skilled players and my Bronze or higher players are for sure on a higher skilled SBMM bracket like me.

Makes me feel like our "rank" in Ranked is not real. It's just EOMM placing people where they want them.

If you want to Rank up in Ranked quickly then join a friend who sucks.

Yeah people do that a lot. Like youtubers or steamers do it a lot. If you join someones lobby and they are low skill than you the matchmaking will always default to the lower skill player. i think they call it boosting in reverse or something like that. It makes sense that the game will do that cause if i was the lower skill player i would be coming out of that with like 5 kills and 40 deaths lol
