Loadout change mid game not staying and reverting back after i die

mw3 lets me change my loadout mid game but when i die its back to what it was before i changed it but it shows that i did change it and i have to go in and pick it every time i die to get the change loadout i'm using to counter peoples playstyle and if i dont it gives me back my initial loadout from before the game

Yup. Many content creators have reported this to the game devs.

The fix you can do is to not edit mid match.

Or... The workaround is what you mentioned.
