ame crashes immediately after update – 0x00001338 / KERNELBASE.dll

Hi, since the latest update, Call of Duty HQ instantly crashes on startup on my PC.
The game closes right after the splash screen without loading into the menu.

I get this crash message:

Things I already tried:

• full game reinstall
• Steam “verify files”
• GPU drivers updated (NVIDIA)
• Windows fully updated
• restarted PC
• deleted shader cache
• some other cache things

I still get the exact same crash every time.

Any fix for this? Does Activision know about the Steam launcher crash issue?

Not really, still with the activision support. And yea this long.

Try turning off “game mode” in windows assuming you’re on windows 11.

If you’re on 10, then that’s the problem.

Got Windows 11 did not help, by now i deleted any thinkable cache there is, did a complete reinstall of my grafics Programm and some other ♥♥♥♥ i forgot. Im still in contact with the support though

I resolve this , it problem with cpu voltage ... i use IA CEP for fix that. Without IA CEP On - the game always crashes...

J'ose m'avancer en pensant à un problème de noyau système. Je ferais un check avec les commandes DISM puis un SFC /scannow en premier lieu
Je vérifierais aussi que Kernelbase.dll se trouve bien dans mon dossier Windows, à cette adresse : C:\Windows\WinSxS\wow64_microsoft-windows-kernelbase_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.26100.7462_none_cd1ee17698f64a6e

I dare to go forward thinking about a system kernel problem. I would do a check with the DISM commands then an SFC /scannow first
I would also check that Kernelbase.dll is indeed in my Windows folder, at this address: C: Windows WinSxS wow64_microsoft-windows-kernelbase_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.26100.7462_none_cd1ee17698f64a6e

Ensuite, je chercherais à savoir quels processus autres que le jeu peut utiliser le Kernelbase.dll pour le stopper. Il existe des logiciels gratuits ou non (au choix) pour ce genre de recherche.

Après ça désolé, je commencerais à être à court d'idées.

Then, I would look to know which processes other than the game can use the Kernelbase.dll to stop it. There are free or non-free software (your choice) for this kind of research.

After that sorry, I would start to run out of ideas.

find anything to fix it? its happening to me with every game i play ive gone as far as factory resetting my pc. the only thing that fixed it was going back to windows 10 but had to go back to windows 11 now having issue again.

you know it would help a lot if you posted your pc specs with the problem and what settings you run/ran maybe wz bo6, you ask for help from the internet, but we supposed to somehow magically know your pc and your current settings or you can keep getting answers that lead to nowhere.......

running cod even on a 5070 crashes. you can't run 4k in cod ....you need to disable frame gen nvidia reflex, vram 75 and play the game on 1440p.
this right here was an issue where someone gave the specs and people came with suggestions that were related to his system.

all you get here is the same generic "oh we're sorry for you" ♥♥♥♥ from the cod support site in a clown wig in different words . one big echo.......
