Shadowbanned AGAIN after 4 hours.

So I'm new to MW3. Got it on Gamepass and have been playing MP hardcore. Always played COD and shooters so I'm pretty good. At least on HC. First shot accuracy and flicks are killer. Not so good on core tbh.

Got a ♥♥♥♥ load of reports saying because I'm such a low level I shouldn't be killing them as much blah blah blah.

Anyway, got shadowbanned. Not sure if it is actually from the reports or CODs 'amazing' anti-cheat.

Weird thing was I kept getting booted from games with the "player" something error. Usually straight after I got a kill. Seemed weird. Apparently people say this is to do with Shadowbans but I'd had it like 5 times before I was actually banned.

Makes me think their anti-cheat isn't very good if it, in fact kept flagging my play style/ aiming as suspicious. Must be their new 'cheat detection' methods at work or something.

Anyway, it took them 6 days to release me back to normal servers.

So I decide to play some MWZ, solo. 4th game in, I'm just running around tier 1 locations doing missions trying to get those schematics to drop. I get booted from the game.

Wouldn't you know it. Shadowbanned AGAIN.

Now how in the hell do you get banned after playing 3 games of MWZ SOLO?!?!??! After just being found to be a legitimate player??!

An unbelievable level of incompetence on their part. Makes you wonder if they're intentionally targeting PC users on Gamepass for just being able to aim I guess. It cannot be anything else. I didn't even interact with anyone. Never glitched. Never boosted. Never cheated. Don't even use a VPN or anything like that. Literally have a KBM and a skeleton setup. All bloatware on windows deleted etc. No dodgy apps, not even MS pait is installed.

Ricochit needs to been terminated and a different company that actually knows how to identify cheaters needs to take over.

Also shadowbanned lobbies are full of cheaters. Like 30% of players using straight up aimbot wall hack. 20% pretending they don't cheat but have walls enabled and then when found out they turn aimbot on. Some really good players and then some not so good players, makes you think if they're actual cheaters with their cheats turned off because no way in he'll anyone would think they were cheating.

just saw you mentioned MWZ, they threw that mode under the bus during the layoffs. Disconnecting hellhole for months with no real value other than farming XP faster.

I play dota 2 and they have a shadowpool for smurfs since they are on fresh accounts playing way above their rating.

New accounts kinda get flagged early both in cod and dota more easily.

The thing is I've had this Microsoft account since World at War on Xbox. Obviously now it's on PC using Gamepass but all of my accounts are linked on Activisions website so they know I've been playing a long time and the different accounts I've used. PSN, Steam etc.

I've been Shadowbanned on MW2 multiple times and just thought it was their garbage anti-cheat or dumb players spam reporting me again.

But to be banned so soon after already being banned for playing a PVE mode Solo is wild to me. The fact it takes them so long to legitimise your appeal as well to instantly throw you back under the bus is insane.

I honestly think they'll perma ban me if this continues. I think the automated system is completely busted and is flagging people for the completely wrong reasons. It must be. Activision doesn't seem to value players at all.

By any chance do you live with anyone else that plays Mw2/Mw3 WZ2 in your house hold on pc and or did you buy any of your PC parts second hand or through amazon used. if so you maybe HWID Banned. I purchased a 3070ti GPU second hand and with out my knowledge the person who owned the card was banned on call of duty cold war and modern warfare for cheating and they decided to sell the card and not notify me until I confronted them about the issue. I purchased cold war played 1 zombies match it ended and then my ping was over 250MS I checked activisions ban appeal and I was under review for cold war. Thankfully the GPU died on me a few months later and I warranty claimed it got a new one and sold it!

That's interesting but highly unlikely. I have sole access to the PC that I built myself with all new components about 5 years ago. I did upgrade the GPU 1.5 years ago but that was new from Overclockers. Never cheated on any game or downloaded dodgy stuff.

Then MW3, absolutely getting destroyed by SB it seems. I've heard of people getting into Shadowban loops but the speed in which I was placed back in one was crazy. Something must be flagging up on their system but I have no idea what. Could it really be my playstyle? I like 1 tapping zombies in the head from miles away with an AR but that's not even hard on a mouse.

Maybe it's my connection? Always getting packet burst and high latency spikes but I just figured that was their ♥♥♥♥ servers because I have a wired connection and no other games ever have any connection issues.

No idea. I'll wait another week and hopefully not get perma banned or straight back into shadowban after I get released.

VPN and Toxicity are the usual reasons for shadowban.

Well, I was perma banned for nearly 1 year+. Until now, I still don't know why I am perma banned. I play COD4, COD6, COD MWII, COD warzone on xBox. Last year, I bought a new PC with 64GB RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD, and a Nvidia RTX 4090 graphics card. And I installed COD warzone, play several matches. The last match I remember there's a teammate fallen but I cannot go to save him. I heared he said some dirty words to me. Next match it takes too long time then I quit. Next day I login to steam and found there's a tip saying I was banned. I only play two times, man. And I thought why I was banned, my keyboard, my mouse, my developer tools, my network speedup service, my autohotkey screen scripts, ... I don't know why I was banned. COD was my favorite FPS game, ever.
During the last year, I turn to play battlefield, pubg, tikov. And some mobile games developed by Tencent, including Area Breakout Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile. It's great. This year, Delta Force: Black Hawk Down will come, and Area Breakout PC, and BodyCam. These games provide really good experience, well I think it's enough for me to forget the upset that Activision garbage Anti-Cheating brings to me.

I have never been shadow banned (900 hours), maybe I'm just not good enough.
I reckon the people that do get shadow banned constantly are those that talk sh*t over the mic and get mass reported for it.

Never used a VPN. Literally only use Windows defender as well. I don't install anything. I absolutely hate bloatwear and scam programs.

Also I'm quite a polite player and only really tell people to 'STFU' when they're harrassing others. literally went on MWZ SOLO after being unbanned and didn't talk to anyone apart to ask where someone was to revive them.

It's crazy. I've heard that of you play on console for a bit after being released back to normal servers it "fixes" the shadowban loop, which is just crazy because it seems to have legitimately worked for a load of people.

Makes you wonder if they are targeting KBM players on PC. Pretty scummy if you ask me.
