Shadowban Duration?
Anyone have a clue? The support page says at least 48 hours, but I've read a few reddit posts that took as long as a month. I didn't even do anything, I literally only played 35 games, and spoke to one group about movies and actors. Hardly worth a shadowban

It used to be 7 days, but now it's more 10-14 days.

It's when your account has limited matchmaking, basically my account got pinged for breaking a code of conduct or i got mass reported for cheating. Which I haven't done in any game

7 days and you'll be cleared, along with the blatant wallhackers and aimbotters who are rightfully shadowbanned. It's a system designed by degenerates.

I'm currently on my third shadowban in mw2, I don't use anything weird but I admit that sometimes I'm super toxic, many report me for being toxic and for killing a lot, but you have to tell the truth!!! There are many noobs who don't know where they are standing!!! You kill them and they ask you: how did you know I was there?? hack hack and they report you, many run like zombies and don't even look to the sides, they make noise when they run, etc. and boom they report you, my first two shadowbans were about 7 days and I'm going on day 6 of my third shadowban so I don't know, but well for now I'm on mw3

It's not a "shadow" ban if you know about it.

You can only find out by going to activision support, but good try

Why would I cheat or use unlock tools? What would I gain from it. The grind is the best part of gaming, I love working my way up the ranks as well. I made my account yesterday, and played all of 35 games. If you cant accept that fact, dont bother replying here again

Took 7 days and a few hours for me. Good luck with the community, they see the word "ban" and immediately assume you're a cheater.

Shadowbands don't exist. You never hear someone say they were shadowbanned one time, you guys always come back crying.

IT'S EOMM, the better you do, the more sweatier cheater lobbies you get. Ffs.

I literally already explained this, it's activision pinging your account and limiting your lobbies to cheaters only. And you cannot learn this information unless you go to the support page on their website. Otherwise it looks like match making takes 30 minutes

I got this as well and have been looking into it. For anyone coming across this thread in the future that doesn't know anything about this system:
1. If you are spam reported enough you will get shadowbanned
2. If you get an unusual amount of kills you will get shadowbanned
3. Chopper gunners can currently be exploited on maps with bad spawns. Using one can easily overflow and give you another. You can sit in it the entire match and get 100-200+ kills easily. Same for Dreadnoughts. Don't do this.
4. If you've been shadow banned once, you are now "low trust" and being reported *at all* will immediately result in another shadow ban. Do not do anything to upset other players. This includes not using unfair scorestreaks like chopper gunners.
