BO6 CRASH FIX WORKING NVIDIA GPUS
Hello, so i did some digging and found a fix for the crashing. i was having directX errors since release. i found this support page ( https://support.activision.com/black-ops-6/articles/pc-system-requirements-for-black-ops-6 ) and near the bottom it shows the recommended driver for BO6 as 560.70. I downloaded 560.70 off of nvidias driver search on their site ( https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/ ) and installed the STUDIO driver NOT the game ready driver as the studio drivers are made as a latest update with stability in mind. I then CLEAN uninstalled the current drivers on my system with DDU and installed the new one. Make sure you re-load shaders after installing the 560.70 driver. Back to playing on all high settings with no tweaks and have zero crashes! hope this works for everyone else, 3 other friends confirmed it fixed their issue as well. Enjoy! :steamhappy:

Its ridiculous this is even an issue. No way players should have to do that amount of bs just to play the game. God forbid we shill out nearly 100$ and want/expect the game to be playable....nope crashes 70% of the time

Laptop: Zephyrus G16 - 4080 - 32GB Ram - Intel i9.

I did clean with DDU and 560/1 driver, but no Optimus and GPU change included. Only with G-Helper. Also turned off CPU+boost. The CPU fan 84° 7200 RPM and GPU 84° 5800 RPM
So, I went to locked 60fps, performance and fast sync on nvidia control panel. On COD menu set to Unlimited and 60fps and all maxed graphics. No stutter. Smooth 60fps.

If you updated Windows to 24H2 try rolling back to 23H2. It fixed my issues.

Thank you so much! I was so frustrated all weekend I couldn't play until I found your post. Now I am playing crash free!

I don't even play on Steam I have it on Game Pass on the MS Store.
glad to hear ! :shockedstar2022:

This unfortunately did not work for me. I made sure to use DDU to remove the old drivers and installed the recommended driver, but it still crashed for me.

After digging around in the crash logs, I found that the game is either not being allocated VRAM correctly or the tracking tells the application that it does not have enough VRAM. Either way, this causes the game to crash thinking it is out of memory.

I think a lot of the fixes you see online will not work because of this. To different degrees, this is an issue. Maybe some changes people make on their systems work because it forces the game to track memory usage more correctly, but I've tried just about every solution online to no avail.

So I used the 561.09 drivers and it still worked for me. Only downside I'm having is now the game will choose frame generation, dlss, or both to just delete from the game at random when I start it. Nothing has concretely fixed it aside from just booting the game a bunch until they come back. Not the best trade off

its not the driver issue but its actually the game graphics settings avoid ultra settings disable every extra graphics setting like weather $ water looks

Has anyone tried switching from Steam to Battle Net to see if the issue is still there? I'm the only one in my friend group running steam and seem to be the only one having issue with the game crashing showing the error "disconnected from server" or "signed out".

The issue is consistent with all PC platforms. I have tested it on Steam and XBOX Game Pass, while a friend of mind did it on Steam and Battle.net. Your error is an interesting one, how consistent is this issue?
