BO6 CRASH FIX WORKING NVIDIA GPUS
Hello, so i did some digging and found a fix for the crashing. i was having directX errors since release. i found this support page ( https://support.activision.com/black-ops-6/articles/pc-system-requirements-for-black-ops-6 ) and near the bottom it shows the recommended driver for BO6 as 560.70. I downloaded 560.70 off of nvidias driver search on their site ( https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/drivers/ ) and installed the STUDIO driver NOT the game ready driver as the studio drivers are made as a latest update with stability in mind. I then CLEAN uninstalled the current drivers on my system with DDU and installed the new one. Make sure you re-load shaders after installing the 560.70 driver. Back to playing on all high settings with no tweaks and have zero crashes! hope this works for everyone else, 3 other friends confirmed it fixed their issue as well. Enjoy! :steamhappy:

Do I also disable the Wi-Fi from my microwave? Asking for a friend. :steamsad:

I heard sacrificing a goat works too.
At this rate, it might appease someone. I'm hoping for Bobby Kotick. :winter2019joyfultearssnowman:

Exactly.
It happens that I try some settings and as soon as I can play for an hour or two I tend to think that I found the cause until the next crash...
Ya, it's weird, but apparently it's been an issue in the past. Originally, I thought it was because I did my Windows Refresh Install that I always do every year, so I went down the rabbit hole on the possible fixes with no success. We're at the mercy of Treyarch, so here's to us waiting.
it's been an issue on previous titles when I did search and they never bothered to fix it. Try to refund if you are still in that time period :/

No, the crash still happens, even on lowest and no DLSS. At this rate, the claim that this is a game issue not an us issue is becoming the bonified answer. I believe all the people claiming it fixed it are just getting lucky and not crashing out for a long time.
sorry to hear that, i hope it doesn't discourage others to try, this literally fixed me and my friends from having this issue. we all played for like 10 hour straight yesterday no issues.

Mmh okay thanks, did anyone try it yet?

I kept crashing whenever I put the textures on high, on normal no crashes at all.

4070 ti S - 7800x3d - 32 GB ram
hey id take that over nothing, better to play on normal with no issues than not at all :cool_seagull:

It did for me too until it didn't. When they release updates you should be afraid. Last weeks Friday update is when the directx issue began for me. Before that the game ran great.

I've resulted in playing on Cold War till this game gets its act together, and stops Direct X crashing constantly....

updating to this unfortunately did not work for me

GOING BACK TO WINDOWS 10 FIXED ALL MY ISSUES.

Downgrading to 560.70 resolved the issue FOR NOW, but these problems are absurd. BTW running on a 7950X3D and 4090 setup.

Thank you so much! I was so frustrated all weekend I couldn't play until I found your post. Now I am playing crash free!

I don't even play on Steam I have it on Game Pass on the MS Store.
