Unlink activision from steam

I have two activision accounts. One inactive and one active. I was trying to unlink my steam account from my inactive activision account on its website. 
I was facing an error while doing so. So I contacted the activision team. They are saying they have a cool-down for doing it—12 months.

Can steam help with this? I want to unlink my present activision account connected to steam and link a new (active) activision account.

If doing this is possible please let me know.

Nope. The linking/unlinking is only done on the other end.

Same goes for all 3rd party accounts.

I knew that probably this was the answer. I contacted activision, even they can’t do anything before that sh!t 12 month cool-down.
