BO6 Zombies isn't the one.
Where is the team that created the first zombie modes? It was so gritty, had a brilliant atmosphere, and was a bare bones survival masterpiece with brilliant voice acting and story.

Modern zombies is so over the top with everything. Operators, Pre-game loadouts, upgrade items, cooldowns, armour, buyables, crystals, schematics, mods, missions, timed exfils, contracts, constant connection, it's just DMZ with zombies. It's an ok side mode but in no way should take the place of Classic Zombies.

Ok, so round based is back with a set team. That's a small step in the right direction. The game is still going to be plagued by all of the "updates" they've implemented since BO3. Hell, they're also bringing gobblegums back, which IMO absolutely ruins game balance, completely overshadows tried and true gameplay elements like the mystery box and p-a-p. These are core staples of the game that shouldn't take a back seat, especially to a monetised, pay-to-progress, consumable economy.

Gameplay:

Weapon rarity, Pack-a-punch tiers, Equipment, Killstreaks, Ammo mods, Field upgrades, Salvage tiers, Perk-a-colas, Mystery box, Wall buys, Armour plates, Armour levels, Perk levels, Loadouts, Rampage inducers, Operators, Challenges, Reward stations, Trial stations, Equiptment stations, Upgrade crystals, Exfil radios, Wunderfizz, Gunsmith weapon blueprints, Weapon levels, Zombie drops, salvage, equiptment, armour, Super sprint zombies, Armoured zombies, Boss zombies, Unique zombies, Easter Eggs, Wunder weapons, Quests, Traps, Power-ups, and now Gogglegums on top of all of that.

Visuals:

Zombie health bars, Zombie names, Red dots, Damage numbers, Kill text, Points text, Radar, Location name, Hit markers, Damage markers, UI clutter, Interactable and pick-up names, Information Pop-Ups, Kill-chain/ Medal pop-ups, Milestone indicators, Playercard medal indicators, Story pop-ups, Communication pop-ups, Pick-up indicators. An abundance of screen and weapon effects, Damage effects, flinch, particle effects etc. etc.

Now I'm not saying that all of that is bad, there are aspects I think are good or could be good. What I will say is that having so many different overlapping mechanics is so messy and doesn't compliment each other well and now they're adding gobblegums back. It's just FAR TOO MUCH.


They need to implement one mechanic for each aspect of the game:

- Have only one way to upgrade a weapons damage (Pack-a-punch), weapon tiers are ass. Ammo types are fine.

- Have only one way to improve player survivability (Perk-a-colas), get rid of armour.

- Have only one Special ability (Field Upgrades), Killstreaks do not belong in zombies.

- Scrap the salvage mechanic. It's terrible.

- Zombies do not need to drop anything, just points and those points should come in the form of per hit, not per kill.

- We do not need an upgrade station or an equipment station. Equipment should be obtained from chalked up wall buys and replenished by the ammo crates. Special equipment like monkeys should only be out the box.

- Starting weapon should be a pistol. Maybe a different one on each map. The sorts of things that made each maps feel unique. Like each map having a unique perk and wonder weapons.

They've stated that the visual aspects this time is customisable. I just hope you can make it a true classic interface. Absolutely no Information given, just zombies and bullets and a minimalistic HUD.

No Radar, names, health, points, damage, medals, kill chains, pop ups etc.

So in conclusions, classic zombies is still dead but at least it's back to round based. What would be cool is to have a "classic mode" in which everything from the game is removed, you start with a pistol and all you have are Perks machines, PAP and the Mystery box.

There's a crew set for the main trailer map cant use operators for it weaver and his companions are the crew as for difficulties it's gonna be a hard hard hard af zombies game anything busted in cold war was purely removed so there's no cheesing high rounds like people did in cold war and a new spawn change for zombies higher the round more that spawns. All zombies games ever made had a zombie limit cap for this game that cap is removed. Higher you go more that spawns and stated if don't pay attention you can easily get overwhelmed

I absolutely do not mind progress. But when the 'progress' is purely based on greed then they can go and ♥♥♥♥ themselves.

COD HQ is a cancer. BO6 looks half decent, however, I still have a few gripes with their design choice though.

As for custom loadouts you can just start with a pistol if you want. The salvage mechanic is annoying, just let us buy the upgrades. For the field upgrades, having one will be a trouble idea; more for diversity.
