[SOLVED]I cant launch the game after update...

Allow STEAM to verify the integrity of your game files the next time you start the game.

Error Code: 0x00001338 (6036) N

Ive verified the integrity like dozen of times but still getting the same pop up.
Game wont LAUNCH!

Appreciate any help or ideas.

Hey Guys!!!!! Great news. I am able to launch my game now. Ive been doing all the steps provided by activision support team WITHOUT ANY SUCCESS...and currently they acknowledge the problem and investigating deeper into this issue.

However.... i did one last thing....

1- I uninstalled MW2 from my pc. (and all games i have with steam)
2- I uninstalled Steam app.
3- Restart my pc after the process.
4- Reinstall the steam app.
5- Re-download and install MW2 (first game i re-download n install for the sake of trying to solve the issue)
6- Click PLAY.... IT LAUNCHED AS PER NORM!!!!!! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ A RELIEF!!

*(If you have tried the above process and sadly it doesn't work for you add additional steps below)

lets say previously u installed the game in C: Drive... After doing the process i shared try installing the game in D: Drive(or any other Drives u have) if u happened to have multiple HDD.

*if u only have ONE C:Drive with sufficient space(i would say atleast 200gb to spare)
u can actually make a partition as per below steps:-

1. Right-click This PC and select Manage.
2. Open Disk Management.
3. Select the disk from which you want to make a partition.
4. Right-click the Unpartitioned space in the bottom pane and select New Simple Volume.
5. Enter the size and click next, and you are done.(make sure you have atleast 80GB+- on the primary partition i.e. your C:Drive where your O/S is installed for your system to run smoothly.

***Additional RUN the game as Admin IF (after you have done the above process but the game doesnt respond after clicking play)
-Some of our comrades tried the above mentioned process and advice that they need to run as admin for the game to start.

Anyways i wont be closing my support ticket with activision. I will be waiting for their insight on this issue that we faced. and ill update you guys for sure

Not necessarily, I use Steam and rarely have issues and the 38 files failed to validate stopped months ago.

I still think that the problem is in Steam, 20 files always fail the test, are downloaded, and as a result, an error
