Everyone is permanently muted

I could use some help, I took a break from COD for about 2 1/2-3 weeks and decided to play Saturday night, noticed that EVERYONE was muted, couldn't unmute anyone, and also if I went into game channel to look at my party, my friends names like the square is red. Can't unmute them either. No idea what is going on, I deleted the game and re-installed it. I have done everything I can think of to make it work again, but nothing. Played again tonight, and nothing's changed. I haven't gotten any reports that I've been banned or anything. And well I also haven't played in quite a while to even get a ban. Can anyone help ??

I also have apparently a friendlist glitch, it'll say 65 people on. Yet I go into Social, and it just says online under everyone's username. Can't invite, can't get invites unless it's through steam.. Idk what is going on.

it's a visual glitch in-game. people will look muted but still be able to talk in my experience. You won't be able to tell who's actually muted(in the case of those who have been comm banned for excessively lame trash talking).

I'm comm-banned for two weeks. I rarely talk besides giving out call-outs of where the enemy killed me from. People just spam report you if they think you're a cheater because in their small minds everyone who plays on pc is a cheater. I will say this please un-mute me in ranked. It sucks not being able to communicate with my team-mates.

That's the thing, they are muted. Not just looking muted. I can't hear anyone but I can hear them talking through my teammates headsets if their loud enough. It's frustrating. It shows I am talking, but nobody can hear me either. I even submitted a request to see if I have any bans, and I have none. Across every COD game whether mobile or PC or Xbox or PS4.

I have gotten comm banned in the past, literally for just being female and not wanting to suck online d*ck of random thirsty little boys hahaha but this isn't it. It's so weird hahaha I've submitted a report for help but who even knows if they'll even work on fixing it *eye roll*

Well, I can only speak towards my case. For the most part it's been a visual glitch for me since I can still talk and hear people. I usually play with friends but, I can still trash talk the enemy team.

Maybe the people you're hearing are friends with those who are comm banned? Even if you're comm banned your friends will still be able to hear you.

They messed up a lot of settings in the game with S03....

Close game and steam
If you have played Campaign, copy and past the savegame.svg to a safe folder, from:

Your Doc folder/Call of Duty/Players/Cod22/Numbers - then delete the call of duty folder.
All you settings in the game will be reset to default.

Open the game and do your prefered settings in M/KB, Graphics, Audio, Interface and network. Apply for each change when needed.

Close game, waith 15 sec. Restart and see if there is any improvement.

I did this and was back on fps, fixed graphics, loadouts, audio and matchmaking.

It IS A LONG SHOT, but it worked for me and many other players....

I wish it was just a visual glitch haha like the only way I can hear my friends I play with is if we are in a Discord VC. Otherwise my whole team of randoms and the entire other team is muted also. But discovered something last night, I can be heard by my friends in the main lobby,, before loading in. There is no issues with hearing me. But I can't hear a soul in the game.

Well funny thing is if I put any chat on besides party chat the whole game can hear me even if I have it clicked off company is a joke Microsoft please buy them out and fire every1 of them ur way better and smarter anyway

Literally why I play search and destroy and enjoy proximity chat in Warzone/DMZ.
